Your Quick HIIT Fix

Ok so for a lot of us it’s super hot outside and no time to be spending hours in the gym! Here’s a quick HIIT fix workout inspired by our training on our LakesByYoo wellness retreat this week. You’ll be in and out in less than 30 minutes. Most gyms have this equipment so you can give this one a go!

Try 1 minute of each exercise for 3-4 rounds, take a 1 minute break between sets. Warm up and cool down non negotiable.

  • RipTrainer lunge rotation (or you can use resistance bands or cable machines if your gym doesn’t have one of these)
  • Sandbell squat to overhead press
  • Kettlebell swing
  • Sandbell burpee to bicep curl
  • RipTrainer squat rotation (again as above you can use resistance bands or cable machines)
  • Kettlebell goblet squat

It’s important to mix up the equipment you use at the gym. Once our bodies get used to certain modes of training they adapt to it, eventually our progress can plateau. It pays off to shock the system and shake things up a bit. Get out of your comfort zone, try something new and feel stronger for it!
